Zombie Land Saga will be appearing on the big screen with the movie Yumeginga Paradise. It’ll come out in 2025, though there aren’t any further details about the release window.

It starts with a quick recap of how protagonist Sakura died at the beginning of the show. Then, it shows her and the rest of Franchouchou’s career as they worked to become top idols with manager Kotaro’s help. We don’t see any new footage in the trailer, as MAPPA is likely still working on it.

Zombie Land Saga came out in 2018, produced by MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames. It stars an aspiring idol and high schooler, Sakura Minamoto, who dies one morning after a truck hits her. Ten years later, a man named Kotaro Tatsumi brings Sakura, along with six other “legendary” girls, to have them form an all-zombie idol group and revitalize the Saga Prefecture. Though it’s an idol anime, it has elements of horror and comedy. Critics and fans also praised the depiction of Lily Hoshikawa, as well as her character arc.

Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise will air in Japan in 2025. You can watch the show on streaming services like Crunchyroll.

About three years after the initial airing of the first season, Zombie Land Saga will have a movie adaptation, starring actors from the Saga Prefecture. This announcement came during the Zombie Land Saga live event on October 17, 2021 in Japan. There's an announcement trailer for the movie on YouTube. However, little of what the movie will be about is shown. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The trailer features actors Hakuryu (Yakuza Kiwami 2, Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor) and Kunio Murai (Tokyo Ghoul, The Return of Godzilla), who both come from Saga. “Zombie Naki Tatakai” or “Battles Without Zombies” is the title of the video. It's a reference to Battles Without Honor and Humanity. This sort of parody video is similar to the Yoshi Ikuzo Enka music video Capcom released for Resident Evil Village earlier this year.

The two actors have a tense standoff, talking about vengeance and what one has left. While the actors play the scene straight, they repeatedly use the word “Saga” like it is a catch-all term. When Murai says, “I also loved Saga," Hakuryu replies, “If you loved Saga, then why didn’t you yell Saga more? If you were serious, then Saga would be more Saga.” To that, Murai simply responds, “You don’t understand Saga.”

“Adabana Necromancy” is available in 3DMV. You can also choose rhythm icons and sound effects based on Zombie Land Saga. The singers covering "Adabana Necromancy" are Akari Tsujino, Syoko Hoshi, Natsuki Kimura, Miho Kohinata, and Hiromi Seki. The five girls can also obtain Franchouchou outfits. However, it will cost 2,500 paid star jewels.

Zombie Land Saga originally aired in 2018 and its second season, Zombie Land Saga Revenge, will premiere on April 8, 2021. The newest game in the franchise, The Idolmaster: Starlit Season, is delayed until October 14, 2021.

The Zombie Land Saga Revenge crossover event in The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage will run from April 6-19, 2021. More songs will appear in-game alongside “Adabana Necromancy.” The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage is available on mobile devices in Japan.
