The Pokemon Company opened a new batch of pre-orders for the Team Rocket briefcase on the Japanese Pokemon Center Online web store. The item's full name is the Glory of Team Rocket attache case, and people who manage to place their orders there can get it in October 2025.

This briefcase originally appeared on April 18, 2025, as part of celebrations for the release of the Glory of Team Rocket booster pack for Pokemon Trading Card Game: Scarlet & Violet in Japan. It costs 14,900 yen (~$100.55) and comes with 30 booster packs of the Glory of Team Rocket expansion inside. The company also disclosed that the briefcase is being made in China, but the Pokemon TCG cards and packs are made locally in Japan.

The first batch in April 2025 was available via lottery sales, and this new batch will not be easy to order either. People must first wait for an online queue to access the webpage due to sheer traffic. They must also have an on the web store with a legitimate Japanese address and a verified phone number. The Pokemon Company only accepts credit card as the available payment method, and it will also run an additional check for the card's validity.

The Pokemon Company has revealed that it worked with Asken to produce official recipes for some of the Pokemon Sleep meals in real life. People can now reproduce select meals from the Pokemon-themed sleep management game app, provided they can understand or translate the Japanese recipes.

Asken has set up separate webpages for each of the four recipes featured in this collaboration. The Pokemon Sleep recipes in question are the Limber Corn Stew, Petal Blizzard Layered Salad, Dream Eater Butter Curry, and Apple Acid Yogurt-Dressed Salad.

This collaboration appears due to the close relationship between the purposes of both apps. Asken is known for running a diet management consultation service on PC and mobile devices. Over 12 million people have ed for the service in Japan.

Asken has also ed a new related video on its YouTube channel. It introduced a collaborative research between the two apps and the University of Tsukuba's International Institute for Integrative Sleep Medicine about the correlation between sleep and food management for people's health.

The Pokemon Sleep and Asken Diet apps are both available on Android and iOS mobile devices. The former, a sleep management game app, is also compatible with smartwatches.

The Pokemon Company revealed that it will release life-size plush modeled after all eight Eeveelutions known in the Pokemon franchise as of 2025. They will the base Pokemon Eevee, whose life-sized plush was revealed earlier in April 2025.

The company is gradually accepting orders for the Eeveelutions' life-size plushes in three separate batches. The first ones immediately available to order are the first-generation Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon. Each plush will cost 44,000 yen (~$309), and the company is procuring them from Vietnam. However, people must first line up for online queues before they can access the listings. They have until May 19, 2025, to place their orders, assuming the stock does not run out sooner.

For the second wave, The Pokemon Company will release life-sized plushes of Espeon and Umbreon, which debuted in the second-generation entries Pokemon Gold and Silver, in late May 2025. The third and last wave in late June 2025 will comprise the fourth-generation pair Leafeon and Glaceon, as well the sixth-generation Pokemon X and Y Fairy-type debutant Sylveon.

The life-size Pokemon plushes of Eevee and its Eeveelutions are being gradually released in Japan. As of April 24, 2025, the ones immediately available to order are Eevee, Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon.

The Pokemon Center in Japan released the new collection of cute and useful home items to spruce up your domicile. These items were originally announced on April 18, 2025. Now they're in store online, ahead of a larger debut. Some of the more notable items include a Bulbasaur planter, a Geodude hanger, and a Trubbish garbage can.

You can now purchase these items via the online Pokemon Center store. If you want to get them from the physical locations, you’ll have to wait until April 26, 2025. Items range from house slippers to bookends. So, like past collections such as the Pikachu Everyday Fun Kitchen line, they’re good for the older Pokemon fan who still want to communicate their love for the series through their furniture.

As a note, products that require another item to work will not come with said item. For example, you’ll need to provide the batteries for the Maushold clock yourself, as well as find the deodorant for the Snorunt fridge deodorant yourself. To use the aroma stone diff, you’ll need to use a few droplets of essential oil on the stone flowers on the plate. The Sprigatito is sitting next to it, as if it’s guarding the stones. The scent of the essential oil you used will waft up in the air after that.

The Pokemon domestic home items are available on the online Pokemon Center stores in Japan. They’ll appear in physical locations around the country from April 26, 2025.

A new Pokemon Center store will open up in the Hakata Marui, which is in the Fukuoka Prefecture. The new logo for the Pokemon Center Fukuoka branch depicts Pikachu riding on a Latias, while a Latios floats behind them.

Currently, the Pokemon Center in Fukuoka is in the Hakata AMU Plaza Building. However, it will close down on May 12, 2025 to focus on building the new store. When the new store reopens in Hakata Marui, it will have a larger space to accommodate for more customers at a time. The large amount of tourists that Japan sees every year, as well as the worldwide popularity and appeal of Pokemon, likely contribute to the need for more space. The Fukuoka store will re-open up in Summer 2025, with more details to appear later.

Incidentally, when the store re-opens, it will mark the second Pokemon Center in a Marui building. The other one is in Yokohama.

As for why Latios and Latias adorn the new logo, this is likely due to them being legendary Pokemon from the Hoenn region. GameFreak drew inspiration from the Kyushu region when deg Hoenn, and Fukuoka is the largest city in Kyushu. Hoenn’s generation mascot legendaries are Kyogre and Groudon, but the Pokemon Center likely chose Latios and Latias instead due to their “cuter” designs.

The Pokemon Center in Fukuoka will temporarily close down on May 12, 2025 and the new store will open in Hakata Marui some time in Summer 2025. The next Pokemon game to come out is Pokemon Legends: Z-A, which will come out in Fall 2025 for the Nintendo Switch.

For Mother’s Day 2025, the Pokemon Center in Japan will let you show your appreciation for your mom with Pikachu flower arrangements. You can choose either fresh flowers or preserved ones.

Both arrangements feature a flower Pikachu surrounded by pink, red, and white. Decals on the yellow pom pom mum are what makes it look like the Pokemon. So you can’t keep the Pikachu itself forever. However, the pot that the fresh arrangement comes in can be reused as decoration, as it’s a wooden planter with a laser-printed Pikachu design on it. The preserved flowers have a card instead, and can last a year. You should avoid placing it in direct sunlight or in humid places, though. Since they're flowers, The Pokemon Center will only accept domestic orders.

Pre-orders will end on May 1, 2025, and the flowers will ship out from May 7, 2025. The fresh flowers cost 7260 JPY ($48.50), and use carnations and baby’s breath. Meanwhile, the preserved flower arrangement costs 8910 JPY ($59.55), and use carnations, roses, and hydrangea. Aside from differences in the planter, the fresh flowers are much larger, standing at 18 cm. The preserved flower arrangement is only around 11 cm tall.

The newest entry in the Pokemon game series, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, will come out for the Nintendo Switch in Fall 2025.

The Pokemon Company revealed a new lineup of merchandise themed after Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket. It will sell these items in its Japanese physical and online Pokemon Center stores in early April 2025.

The primary highlights of this lineup will be the Paper Theater sets that emulate the special backgrounds that appear in rare versions of the Pikachu ex, Charizard ex, and Mewtwo ex cards. It will also include a strap that literally lets the buyer attach a Pikachu ex card on the back side of their smartphone.

This lineup also comes with a big caveat. The Japanese Genetic Apex packs and the Pokemon coins you see in the above image are not actual products, as they will only appear as stickers packed inside a zipper pouch. The buyer can, however, technically emulate the in-game coins by applying the coin stickers on the actual playing coins.

Cosmos Hotel Management announced that its Mimaru apartment hotels available across Japan will each have their Pokemon themed rooms renewed starting on July 1, 2025. People will be able to stay in rooms that have been decorated with over 100 Pokemon all around the area.

The company will update the official webpage—which is also available in English—with the new crossover wave details on April 21, 2025. The webpage so far shows the original collaboration in 2021, which took place in four Kyoto hotels, three Tokyo outlets, and the Osaka Namba North branch. This offers an idea of what to expect from the spots.

The Pokemon-themed rooms are still available at the above locations, unlike the temporary ones in hotels like Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Hotel Nikko Bali Benoa Beach. However, Mimaru will gradually close them temporarily as a part of the renewal process. The new wave will add two new locations in Tokyo's Ikebukuro and Kinshicho, so it will be available at ten places in total.

Cosmos Hotel Management also shared preview images that show how the renewed Pokemon rooms will look:

The room interiors will not be the only elements that receive Pokemon-themed decoration. Mimaru will also prepare dining plates and drinking mugs with a Poke Ball design. The hotel will also provide a bonus amenity set consisting of a laundry bag, a pouch, a drawstring purse, and a set of stickers. It will allow people to bring the latter set home after checking out.

The renewed Pokemon rooms at Mimaru apartment hotels in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka will be available from July 1, 2025. The reservation window for the rooms will open on April 21, 2025.

Suntory announced that it will hold a new crossover campaign between its coffee brand Boss and Pokemon Trading Card Game. The new campaign will run through the Spring season of 2025, and it will feature the Pokemon Team Rocket boss Giovanni, who is originally known in the Japanese releases as Sakaki.

The first campaign will launch on the @_craftboss X on Monday, April 21, 2025. Suntory will publish a specific tweet on that day. People who are residing in Japan then have until May 9, 2025, to follow the and repost the tweet to the sweepstake, which will reward a jacket with the Giovanni crossover logo to five winners.

Suntory will then release specially branded coffee cans that cost 140 yen apiece on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. Each can will feature a Team Rocket Pokemon card, and it will also have QR code that the buyer can scan to enter another campaign.

Two weeks later on May 20, 2025, the company will release packs of two coffee bottles at 656 yen. The packs, which are pictured at the top of this article, will also contain a Pokemon TCG promo er card of Giovanni. This card will let the swap between Team Rocket Pokemon cards on their active and bench slots, and afterward choose one of the opponent's benched Pokemon to be swapped as well.

This new campaign will appear to help celebrate the release of the Team Rocket's Glory expansion pack in Japan on April 18, 2025. The Team Rocket-themed merchandise lineup slated to appear in Japanese Pokemon Center stores on the same day is also meant to mark the new expansion release.

The Pokemon Company in Japan announced that it will release bath products featuring Croagunk as part of a collaboration with painkiller company Kerorin. This is the first time the two companies are working together, and it’s also part of the 100th anniversary celebrations for Kerorin.

All the products feature the same image of a Croagunk enjoying a bath while saying that it’s effective against toxins. Beneath the Kerorin logo is one for Pokemon Sento, which is a new line of merchandise featuring Pokemon relaxing in traditional Japanese public baths. Though Kerorin is a company that specializes in painkillers, it’s a household name for those who frequent public baths and onsen.

According to the website, the Kerorin bucket was born in 1963 (Showa 38) after the current CEO (then a normal sales worker) suggested advertising Kerorin on public baths buckets. At the time, baths in Japan had shifted to using plastic instead of wood out of health concerns. The buckets first appeared in the Tokyo onsen before expanding to baths all across the country due to the positive reception.

As for the Kerorin and Pokemon goods that are part of the collaboration line-up, you can buy:

• Clear pouch: 1500 JPY
• Cloth bag: 1200 JPY
• Keyholder: 800 JPY

All the items are ones you might bring with you if you’re visiting a public bath.

Clothes and accessories based on Team Rocket will appear in the Pokemon Center stores from April 18, 2025. Though you can wear T-Shirts and ties with the Team Rocket R logo, you can’t actually recreate the iconic fit from the games or anime.

As mentioned above, all the items have the signature R logo, along with the word “Team” above it. Inside the R are Pokemon like Nidoqueen, Golbat, and Raticate. All the Pokemon showing up on clothing or other accessories are ones that Team Rocket have used in the games. Here are the prices for some of the items:

For 14,900 JPY ($99.85), you can also try your luck in the lottery for the The Glory of Team Rocket attaché case. You can get the attaché case, which is all black save for the red R, as well as the 30 packs of The Glory of Team Rocket booster packs it’ll contain. You’ll also get everything you need to play TCG, since as card cases, a deck, and a playing mat. That doesn’t mean you have to use the attaché case for playing TCG if you wanted to bring it around in more everyday settings. While it’s only available via lottery now, the Pokemon website states that it might come back in the future.

The Team Rocket merchandise will appear in Pokemon Center stores from April 18, 2025. This looks like an Asia exclusive.

Marimo Craft will release Pokemon PokePeace mugs in Japan starting in late March 2025. The mugs depict the Pokemon’s face, and you can get one of Pikachu, Rowlet, or Piplup.

Each mug costs 2,420 JPY ($16.20), and it will come in a cute box depicting the mug in question so you can gift it to someone if you like. As a note, don’t put it in the microwave or the dishwasher. Each mug can hold about 390 mL of liquid, and the dimensions are W115 x H80 x D85 mm. The front shows the Pokemon’s face, which juts out a little to give a 3D impression. Meanwhile, the back of it shows the PokePeace logo, with sparkles around it in the color of the Pokemon in question.

PokePeace, or Pokemon Peaceful Place, focuses on a group of cute Pokemon who all live together in the same house with their humans. Other Pokemon in this franchise include Scorbunny and Pichu. Aside from goods, you can also check out the comic on the official website. The comics don’t have any real dialogue, so people can enjoy them regardless of Japanese proficiency.

The newest game in the Pokemon series will be Pokemon Legends: Z-A. It will come out for the Nintendo Switch in Fall 2025.

Lego announced that it acquired the Pokemon license, which means we will see building block sets involving characters from the series. These will begin appearing in 2026. However, while it will be a while before they debut, the official site for the collection is live. 

The initial details for the Lego Pokemon sets is incredibly vague. It shows the company’s logo alongside the one for the game and anime series. There’s also a special block that looks like Pikachu’s tail alongside it. Electrical elements appear as well. This suggests that, at the very least, we will see some sort of Pikachu build as part of the selection.

At the moment, there are two building block toy companies that also feature Pokemon sets. One is Kawada, which released kits in its Nanoblock line based on the series. In addition to smaller blind box builds, there are larger kits. Mattel’s Mega Bloks line also includes a number of Pokemon sets.

In the meantime, we’ll see more Lego Nintendo sets. The company shared a Mario Kart one that is on the way. There will also be one that lets us build a Game Boy out of blocks. This is in addition to the existing Super Mario and Animal Crossing collections.

The Lego Pokemon sets will appear in 2026. The latest mainline games are Pokemon Scarlet and Violet on the Switch.

The Pokemon Company has reopened its Pokemon Center Tohoku physical store in Sendai, Japan. People living in the northern areas of Japan's Honshu island can now find the renewed outlet on the third floor of the Sendai Parco department store.

The fifth-generation mythical Pokemon Victini will greet visitors with Pikachu via the entryway logos. The new store also features an Ogerpon statue in its plush sales area.

In addition, the store has two areas dedicated to Pokemon games. One of them features games for mobile devices and Nintendo consoles, and the other is specifically made for the Pokemon Trading Card Game.

The Pokemon theme does not only appear in the indoor store. The company has also set up a Pokemon Center Tohoku Garden outside the second floor of the same building. People can sit in front of Pokemon-themed topiaries like Pikachu and the Poke Ball.

A good number of Pokemon Center outlets across Japan have been getting renewals in recent months. The Nagoya outlet had its renewal completed in October 2024. The Gyarados-themed Hiroshima outlet will be the next in line after Tohoku/Sendai, with its reopening date set for April 11, 2025.

Pokemon Center Tohoku is now available at Sendai Parco every day from 10 AM until 8:30 PM JST.
