Shift Up held its Goddess of Victory: NIKKE Stellar Blade crossover livestream and revealed that the collaboration characters ing the game will be Eve, Lily, and Raven. The event will be called “Memories Teller” and be fully-voiced by the cast from the PS5 and PC game. Providence will be the boss in it. There will also be costumes for Eve and Raven. Everything starts on June 12, 2025. June 2025 is also when the NIKKE crossover DLC comes to the console and PC game.

Everything first starts after maintenance on June 12, 2025, but not all elements will appear at that moment. “Memories Teller” begins with a rumor humans are on the surface. However, once going there, we encounter people like Eve and Lily. Going through that event allows us to earn SR Lily for free. That day is also when the SSR Eve Pick-Up Recruitment gacha banner starts and we can get the Neurolink to earn the Neurolink Suit costume for the character.

The next batch of updates for the NIKKE Stellar Blade crossover event kicks off on June 19, 2025. That’s when the SSR Raven gacha banner begins. In addition to being able to pull for the character, the Midsummer can be acquired and gone through to earn a Midsummer Alice costume for the character. Another Eve outfit will appear in Stellar Blade on that day too, with the costume gacha adding a banner for her famous Skin Suit from the PS5 and PC game.

We got to see teaser images for many of the characters and costumes in the gallery of Shift Up official images below.

Here’s the trailer for the event:

Note that Eve, Lily, and Raven won’t appear in any other recruit banners in NIKKE after the Stellar Blade event ends, as they are limited units.

Stellar Blade NIKKE DLC Trailer Shows Costumes and Gameplay doro dorothy

Shift Up showed exactly how some of the Stellar Blade Goddess of Victory: NIKKE costumes and the minigame based on the mobile game will look in a trailer for the crossover DLC. This also featured a peek at the Scarlet boss fight as well. There's also a Doro Dorothy cameo at the very end.

This video began with a look at the Stellar Blade minigame gameplay, as that involves shooting down foes in the same way someone would when playing NIKKE. As it starts, Shift Up quickly cycles through a few of the character costumes for Eve in the add-on. First, she’s dressed as Rapi. Then, she looks like Modernia. A quick peek at Anis’ attire comes after. Her Alice outfit appeared after that. She’s briefly dressed like Dorothy after that, before returning to her normal appearance.

From there, we see the cover-based shooting familiar from NIKKE. What honestly look like Rapture robots, in addition to Stellar Blade foes, descend on her location. We hide behind cover and emerge to shoot at them, and the UI suggests the Burst system from NIKKE may be present.

After that we see some familiar faces. Volt the dog shows up and interacts with Eve. We then get a better look at her in the different NIKKE costumes in Stellar Blade. Eve meets Scarlet after that, and that leads into a peek at the boss fight between the two characters. Things close out with Eve encountering Doro Dorothy at about the 1:27 point.

Here’s the full trailer:

Shift Up 2025 IR Presentation Mentions Stellar Blade Sequel

Shift Up shared the May 16, 2025 IR Presentation pdf on its official site in English, and it mentioned a Stellar Blade sequel is on the way. In the Strategy section of the presentation deck, it appears in the IP expansion area. [Thanks, Shinobi602!]

The IP expansion section features all three of Shift Up’s current and games. In the Stellar Blade section, there are two sections noted. One mentions “platform expansion.” This refers to the PC port, which debuts on June 11, 2025. There is also a sequel mentioned in the same section. No date is shown, but the timeline at the bottom started in 2024 with Stellar Blade PS5 and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, then ended in 2027 with the Project Witches title mentioned at the end of the timeline.

Here’s the image from the May 16, 2025 Shift Up IR Presentation:

In the deck, the company also pointed out a timeline of Stellar Blade updates. This didn’t hint at any future additions for the title, however. The last items mentioned there are the PC port and NIKKE DLC debut both happening in June 2025.

While Shift Up hasn’t discussed a Stellar Blade sequel yet, we have seen more details about the PC port and NIKKE DLC. A trailer highlighted PC version features. As for the add-on, the company confirmed Scarlet will be in it as a boss and Volt, Liter’s dog, will be a shopkeeper.

Stellar Blade is available on the PS5, the PC version debuts on June 11, 2025, and a sequel is apparently in development.

Scarlet Will Be a Boss Stellar Blade Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC

Sony updated the page for the Stellar Blade DLC on the PlayStation website, and it goes over some of the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE character costumes and a Scarlet fight. It also noted there will be a specific shop, fishing for NIKKE items, and a shooting range minigame.

In the case of Scarlet, the NIKKE character will be a boss. It noted on the site that you get a costume, hairstyle, and song for beating her. While it didn’t specify what these might be, in a past trailer we did see a tease that suggested Eve can dress as Scarlet, so perhaps someone would need to defeat the boss to earn that attire.

As for the shop, it will sell costumes and cosmetics in-game. A NIKKE character will run it. Those familiar with Liter will recognize her dog Volt, which will appear as the vendor there.

The March 2025 Stellar Blade Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC didn’t show the Scarlet boss fight, but it did tease outfits based on characters from Shift Up’s other game for Eve. For example, at the start of the video there’s a Rapi outfit. (Not her Red Hood variant.) Alice, Anis, Dorothy, and Modernia outfits seem to be in the crossover add-on too.

Here’s that trailer, as a reminder:

See the Stellar Blade Eve and Tachy Figures

Ahead of the launch of Stellar Blade Eve and Tachy figures, JND Studios shared four photos of the prototypes of the heroines on social media. Pre-orders will go live in Korea on April 18, 2025. No release window was mentioned yet, so it is unclear when we’ll see the characters from the game launch in Korea and worldwide. At time of writing, the official site only included teaser images of the two.

When sharing the images, JND Studios seemed to suggest there will be two buying options for the Stellar Blade Eve and Tachy figures. One will be a “single version” that might only include Eve. The other option mentioned is a Dual Version that includes Eve, Tachy, and a bonus Drone accessory.

Both Eve and Tachy are wearing their default outfits for these items. So Eve is in the Planet Diving Suit (7th). Meanwhile, Tachy is wearing her 7th Airborne Squad attire. Both have their weapons on hand, but the poses don’t make it look like they’re in the midst of a fight. So Tachy is holding the Tachyon Blade and looks like she’s about to pull it from its holster, while Eve has her Blood Edge sword unleashed and in her right hand.

Here are seven photos shared so far. Only two actually show the characters. The other two focus on showing the smaller Drone from different angles.

Stellar Blade is available for the PS5, and a PC version will arrive in June 2025. A crossover with Shift Up’s Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is also planned.

In a rather obvious move, during the February 2025 State of Play Shift Up announced there will be Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC for Stellar Blade. It will cost actual money and won’t be free. The Stellar Blade PC version was also confirmed. Both the add-on and new port will debut in June 2025.

The teaser trailer for the crossover offered some hints as to what we can expect. The video begins with a Rapi appearance and outfit. Aside from her, we also see outfits inspired by other characters. So it seems like Eve can dress up as Alice and Scarlet, for example.

Here’s the Stellar Blade trailer that went over the Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC that’s on the way. The description for it confirmed that you will need to play through the game for a bit before you can unlock the new items for Eve.

This isn’t the only crossover involving the two games. Goddess of NIKKE is getting one too. Shift Up confirmed that in December 2024. Initial imagery suggested that Eve will be added as a playable character to the PC and mobile game.

Stellar Blade is on the PS5 now, and the PC version and Goddess of Victory: NIKKE DLC will arrive in June 2025. NIKKE is playable on the PC and mobile devices.

Stellar Blade Crossover Coming to Goddess of Victory: NIKKE

Back in April 2024, Shift Up said that the team may bring Stellar Blade to its mobile game Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. Now following the Special Christmas Livestream on December 23, 2024, it’s confirmed. It seems Eve and perhaps other characters will the game.

Details about the crossover between Goddess of Victory: NIKKE and Stellar Blade are slim at the moment, beyond a rather obvious confirmation that Eve will be involved. The presentation confirmed that the collaboration event is in development. There is also already a teaser highlighting the appearance of the one character in the other game and its world. The social media post confirmed that more information about it will appear as the event’s debut draws nearer.

Here is the full teaser trailer for the Stellar Blade crossover in NIKKE. It begins with Eve dropping from the sky to attack an enemy. Once she lands and we get a better look at the surroundings, we see that she was actually facing the Rapture enemies that are the ever present foes in Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. The video ends with a peek at the two game logos together.

Meanwhile, in Stellar Blade there’s a new update that celebrated the holiday season. Anyone who owns the game can a patch that adds Christmas-themed items. Many of these are cosmetic and change how characters or areas in the world look.

Goddess of Victory: NIKKE is available on mobile devices and PCs. Stellar Blade is available on the PS5.

Stellar Blade Gets Santa Eve Costume in Season Event Update

Shift Up announced via the PlayStation Blog that Eve and her allies will be celebrating Christmas and the holiday season in Stellar Blade, as a free seasonal event update will launch on December 17, 2024. In addition to cosmetic changes in areas, there will be a new minigame to play in the PS5 game. We can also get Santa costumes to unlock for Eve, Adam, and the Drone in Stellar Blade

Some of the cosmetics happen automatically either when the holiday season approaches or you force it to happen in the options menu. That puts snowmen, Christmas trees, evergreen and light strands, and other decorations around Xion and Eve’s camp in Stellar Blade when the season event is active. The two new songs in the jukebox are “Dawn (Winter)” and “Take Me Away.” You don’t need to unlock any of these. There will be a minigame that appears during this event, which involves what looks like a wreath dart board with a wrapped present attached below it. It seems hitting the mark causes the gift to drop and a reward to be earned.

The Santa Eve, Adam, and Drone costumes do need to be unlocked in Stellar Blade. Eve can get a Santa Dress, Santa Girl hairstyle, Snow Crystal Glasses, Sleigh Ear Cuffs, and Wrath Earrings. Adam can wear I’m No Santa. The Rudolph Pack turns the Drone into a reindeer.

Here’s how all of those additions will look come tomorrow:

This is the second recent update for Stellar Blade. The NieR: Automata DLC debuted in November 2024. That’s a paid bonus. However, the free Photo Mode update also arrived at the same time. That allowed everyone to take more detailed screenshots that were edited in-game. Photo Requests showed up in-game at the same time.

Stellar Blade is available on the PS5, and the Season Event update for Christmas arrives on December 17, 2024.

Stellar Blade Nier Automata

This week saw the release of the NieR: Automata DLC for Stellar Blade. It brings new costumes, a new side quest and even some music to Stellar Blade. However, it also highlights just how much of NieR: Automata was in the game right from the start.

We all know the plot of NieR: Automata at this point. It stars 2B and 9S, two androids from a space station known as the Bunker, where an elite military force known as YoRHa operates. They are fighting a war against alien machines on behalf of humanity, seeking to revive Earth so it can be repopulated with humans who are living on a space colony.

Anyone familiar with this might spot something similar in the plot of Stellar Blade. You play as Eve, a soldier from a space station known as the Colony, where an elite military force known as the Airborne Squad operates. They are fighting a war against alien monsters named Naytibas on behalf of humanity, seeking to revive Earth.

You get it, it’s effectively the same setup. Both games depict a highly skilled female soldier emotionlessly following her orders and slashing her way through a series of threats on a ruined Earth. However, what I find fascinating about Stellar Blade taking such obvious inspiration is in how clumsily it handles it.

Before I begin, I should make it clear that Stellar Blade is one of my favorite games of the year. It’s a fantastic action game that I would recommend to anyone who wants something that sits neatly between a Soulslike and a Devil May Cry. However, it’s hard to look past its numerous plot issues. Issues that make the game feel like a cheap straight-to-video knockoff of NieR: Automata. Allow me to explain and be aware that I will be discussing spoilers for both games extensively.

While the two games share a central premise and similar big twists, there are notable differences in how they’re presented. For a start, you may note that I never referred to Eve as an android up above. This is because Stellar Blade goes out of its way to emphasize that Eve is human, not an android. A living, breathing human who merely serves a role for her fellow humans on the Colony. Any suggestion that she may be an android is just silly.

Until the game makes the big reveal that Eve is, in fact, an android. It’s supposed to be an existential shock to Eve’s whole being, something that make her (and the player) question everything they thought they knew. Which would be interesting if the game didn’t make it so obvious from the moment that she mentions her “body frame” and gets health checkups from a mechanic not a doctor. Plus anyone who played Automata is going to pick up on the plot similarities and assume this is the case anyway. After all, 2B and 9S are explicitly said to be androids from the outset. It’s not a twist there.

Screenshot by Siliconera

It’s not the only big twist that Stellar Blade manages to botch. Much like NieR: Automata, it turns out the war is futile, a lie told by powerful forces on the colony. However, while Yoko Taro used this as a way to highlight the futility of war and the dangers of blindly following propaganda, Stellar Blade is significantly less clear on what its message is.

Eve’s orders come from a rogue AI known as Mother Sphere, who had deemed humanity inferior to the androids it had created and waged a war. Humanity, in turn, accelerated their evolution and became the Naytibas to fight off the android army. The futility of war message feels a bit more lost in the many revelations. Instead, it becomes a story about divergent evolution, although I’m not 100% sure what exactly it has to say about the concept.

While Stellar Blade’s adherence to NieR: Automata does telegraph this reveal, even those without knowledge of that game’s story can see it coming. There are countless notes from fallen soldiers whose dying journal entries curse out Mother Sphere for being the true enemy, branding it a traitorous machine. I have no idea if these notes were subtle foreshadowing in the original Korean, but in English they’re massive sledgehammers that bonk you over the head with the truth way before it’s supposed to be known to you.

Screenshot by Siliconera

Stellar Blade has a plot riddled with problems like this. Your companion, Lily, gets rescued from a space pod early in the game as if she’s just arrived on Earth like Eve but is later shown to have a long-term hideout she lived in for years. The city of Xion is supposed to be the last hideout for humanity against both the androids and Neyibas, but everyone there is so obviously mechanical that I’m not sure who the population is supposed to be. Characters talk to Eve like they’ve known her for years despite the entire game taking place over a few days, which includes Eve meeting these characters for the first time.

Stellar Blade has one more twist for us though, and this one forces through some blatant symbolism while still struggling to land on a theme. Eve’s other companion, Adam, turns out to be a Naytiba that evolved back into being a standard human. I think. And now, in an attempt to rebuild humanity, he wants to fuse with Eve, combining the knowledge of the androids with the biology of the Naytiba to birth a new humanity. And yes, I rolled my eyes when I realized this is the entire reason that they have their on-the-nose names.

However, once again, I’m not entirely sure what the message is here – technology is bad as it destroyed humanity, but technology has also preserved humanity’s memories? The real monster is man (because man turned himself into a literal monster)? Also, Adam, you’ve watched me slaughter your fellow humans with impunity, what exactly is your plan here?

Screenshot by Siliconera

It's all incredibly clumsy, especially when compared to its inspiration. Despite this, however, I found something strangely endearing about it all. There’s a lot of discussion about the appeal of the mid-tier game these days. The games that feature some great ideas buried in copious amounts of jank and yet manage to be utterly compelling. It’s the same appeal as a b-movie in cinema, where a badly made movie can become a cultural phenomenon for unintended reasons. A well-intentioned work with execution problems is infinitely more interesting than something bland but highly polished.

Stellar Blade is exactly one of these games. The combat and presentation are both excellent so the story being a mess ends up being part of the fun. I was fascinated by what it was trying to do and wanted to keep seeing where it managed to take its concepts. Quite often it went nowhere but the ride was still enjoyable. You can see where Kim Hyung-tae was enamored with Yoko Taro’s work and wanted to honor it in his own. While he may not have succeeded in emulating what made NieR: Automata great, the enthusiasm comes through all the same. And it even has Yoko Taro’s approval.

Which brings us back to the new DLC. It’s a lovingly crafted collaboration which, ittedly, mostly exists to give Eve more outfits. But there’s a reverence for NieR: Automata from Shift Up and a nod of approval of Stellar Blade from Square Enix (and some money for Yoko Taro). There’s a mutual respect, which I am fully on board with as a fan of both. Stellar Blade might be a clumsy attempt to imitate NieR: Automata but that clumsiness turned it into something strangely compelling in its own way.

Stellar Blade is out now for PS5.

NieR Automata is one of the most beloved action JRPGs of all time. There is a reason the main characters like 2B and 9S are still crossing over into other games many years after release. With so many different NieR Automata crossovers that have happened in other games, which is the best NieR Automata crossover and how do they all rank?

What Is the Best NieR Automata Crossover? 2740v

In of the overall best NieR Automata crossover, it is quite a simple answer: the crossover with FFXIV Shadowbringers. This crossover brought a 24-player Alliance Raid series of three raids for players to complete. The story was quite intriguing, adding some fascinating extra lore. It brought together new characters like 2P alongside familiar fan-favorites like 2B and 9S.

This is easily the best crossover since it contained exceptional content — some of the best Alliance Raid content in the whole MMO — and made the already masterful expansion even better.

Stellar Blade Update Involves Summer Event, Favorite Equipment

Shift Up announced a new Stellar Blade update, with the latest patch adding Summer Event options, the ability to favorite some of EVE’s equipment and outfits, and other quality of life adjustments. Some visual adjustments appeared in this update too, with the developer citing more attention to characters’ physics.

The Summer Event at the Stellar Blade Great Desert Oasisarrived in the game via a July 2024 patch. This added a new activity and outfits. While the season is over, there is an option that allows you to turn the event on or off if you missed it. You can also hear the song “Don't Forget Me” from it at your Camp.

As for the quality of life adjustments, many are about making it easier to prepare EVE or go places. For example, you can favorite EVE outfits and equipment after the Stellar Blade update. You need to go into the menu to do so. It is also easier to keep track of places to go. The map lets you place pins. Two additions involve the in-game store. You’ll be warned when you’re about to spend a lot of money, for one. Another lets you reload ammo with an Ammo Package.

Here’s a transcript of the official Stellar Blade update announcement on social media, which included the rudimentary patch notes. It also included a brief video clip showing how EVE’s physics for her body and movements changed before and after this latest update. Shift Up’s developer also shared that same video.

New update details!

  • You can still enjoy the "Summer Event" at the Oasis by turning on/off the summer event content toggle.
  • The summer event BGM (Don't Forget Me) is now available at the camp.
  • You can mark pins on the map by pressing □ button on the map.
  • You can use favorites feature on EVE's equipment.
  • New item "Ammo Package" is now available for purchase, which allows you to stock up on all ammunitions to max at once.
  • Purchase confirmation pop-up will be shown when spending over 15,000 golds to prevent any unintentional spend.
  • Visual improvements of conflicts between EVE's body.
  • Various other bug fixes.

There are other Stellar Blade related updates on the way. In addition to the much-promised photo mode, we’ll see a NieR Automata collaboration in the game. You can stream the soundtrack now too. In addition, Astro Bot will eventually get a free update that includes an EVE bot to rescue.

Stellar Blade is out now for PS5, and the free update with Summer Event, quality of life, and physics changes is available as of September 27, 2024.

Stellar Blade Soundtrack

The Stellar Blade soundtrack is now available on all streaming services. It was announced as part of a slate of news around the game during the September 2024 State of Play presentation.

The Stellar Blade soundtrack has shown up on many major music streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and YouTube. The OST contains 189 tracks from the game, for a running time of 10 hours. Currently, the soundtrack is only available for streaming and isn’t available to purchase either physically or digitally. It’s currently unknown if there are plans for this in future.

The soundtrack was mainly composed by Shift Up’s in-house composers Youngjee Lee, Hyunmin Cho and seibin, with contributions from Oliver Good and Keita Inoue of Keiichi Okabe’s MONACA studio. MONACA previously worked on Nier: Automata, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and The Idolm@ster series.

It's not the only Stellar Blade news that got announced at Sony’s State of Play, however. A collaboration with Nier: Automata is on the way, although it’s currently not clear what this will entail. A photo mode is also being added to the game. In addition, Eve will be turning up in the Astro Bot DLC in bot form.

During the PlayStation State of Play in September 2024, it was announced that a NieR Automata collaboration will appear in Stellar Blade. It’ll be later this year in 2024.

The news came at the end of the Stellar Blade segment. There will also be a new Photo Mode, which looks really in-depth. You can adjust everything from pose to angle to filter. The Stellar Blade original soundtrack will also start streaming from today. At the end of the segment, the trailer shows 2B and Pod 042 looking over the ruined city. It’s unknown what the collaboration between NieR Automata and Stellar Blade will entail.

Stellar Blade is a 2024 action game in which you take control of Eve. She is a monster fighter in a distant future after the monstrous Naytibas drove humans from Earth. Eve is part of an army that’s trying to free Earth from the Naytibas and reclaim it for humanity. However, things don’t go very well for her. As for NieR Automata, it focuses on androids engaging in a proxy war against robotic lifeforms. Both games feature a sci-fi setting in which the protagonists fight to liberate Earth, looking like runway models the entire time they do so.

Stellar Blade is readily available on the PS5. There is no information as of yet in regards to the Windows PC release.
